This bug is related to kernel, not friendly-recovery itself, therefore marking it as Invalid.
After latest kernel updates in precise, this cannot be reproduced, so marking it as Fix released.

  When entering in Recovery mode from Grub, the system freezes and friendly recovery menu is never displayed.
  The screen shows strange graphics when it freezes.
