Please try to avoid superfluous information and focus on one issue when
reporting a bug.  Also please provide a detailed description of the
problem you are trying to report.  In this case, let's focus on the
crash while trying to reinstall.  When you tried to reinstall, which
option did you choose?  Did you do manual partitioning and try to reuse
the existing partitions without formatting them?

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hardware: Laptop HP 625
  Win XP + ubuntu 11.04

  Last action was in Win, updating Itunes.
  After next reboot ubuntu hangs with grafic problems.

  Tried to fix xserver and ubuntu-desktop - no effect

  Reinstall from CD
  Installer failed 2 times
