Title:
Laptop mouse conflict w/usb dongle mouse

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

During installation of 9.10 and also with kubunto 9.ox I had a usb
dongle plugged in for an Logitech mouse. The keyboard mouse pad
worked partially as did the usb mouse. I had to use the keyboard keys
to select various fields and could not enter text responses to
prompts. When I removed the dongle which, has worked fine with
previous Linux O/S's, the keyboard returned to normal an the mouse pad
worked correctly. The laptop is an HP dual 32 bit centrino. I also
encountered the same problem when attempting to install Open Suse
11.2. Previous releases did not display this conflict.
