This bug still exists in 11.10. I use a Thinkpad with a Windows and two
existing Ubuntu Partitions. Both are mounted to /target and are not
manually unmountable.

Title:
ubiquity migration assistant did not unmount other Linux volumes

Status in “migration-assistant” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

While installing from the Ubuntu desktop daily build CD of today, the
  installation failed.

The installer encountered an error copying files to the hard disk:
[Errno 2] No such file or
  directory:'/target/lib/modules/2.6.37-8-generic/kernel/drivers/media/radio
  /radio-si4713.ko'

  When I check with ls in /target/lib/modules$ I see only a 2.6.35-22
  -generic-pae directory.
