Title:
eject key not mapped correctly - alienware m14xr1
Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
Following directions from
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting
The eject key (Fn + F6) is not mapped correctly for my system:
sys_vendor Alienware
product_name M14xR1
All other keys (media, volume, brightness, wireless) are working correctly
There are a few other keys that do nothing, however I am not completely sure what they should do. I will boot windows and check later.
Description: Ubuntu 11.10

Version table:

To fix I created a keymap file and added a rule for it in
/lib/udev/rules.d/95-keymap.rules
