I doubt this is an ifupdown bug, might be worth opening against
pppoeconf instead. Also 9.10 is no longer supported so marking bug
Invalid.

** Changed in: ifupdown (Ubuntu)

version of the ifupdown is 0.6.8ubuntu21

What happened instead: internet connects automatically on OS start but programs cannot get domain name service then, but ping to ip address and host to domain name works. but ping to domain name does not work. firefox cannot open sites, emathy does not connect to accounts. all these start to work after "sudo poff dsl-provider" and then "sudo pon dsl-provider".
