Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  Trying to check out Karmic Alpha 6. Was running 9/28/09. Died after updates on 9/29/09 AM. Grub died on reboot.
  On 9/30/09 reinstall from LiveCD. Ran Partial Update, rebooted. Ran Partial Update again, crash.
  Running Intel Atom miniITX motherboard.
