Title:
Installing Ubuntu 11.10 from USB, crashed after pulling out boot disk

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
The BIOS of the computer I was installing Ubuntu 11.10 does not allow
booting from USB flash drives. I inserted a boot disk to enable the
live USB drive to boot and then began installing Ubuntu. Near the end
of the installation, I popped the disk out and the installer crashed.
Not sure if the crash is related to this or something else with either
the old hardware I am installing to, or the live USB, but it seems
  highly likely.
