Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

  ***  8.04 Hardy - Gparted 0.3.5
  Tried to format a new thumb drive.
  It said I needed to create a disk label, MSDOS by default
  Clicked create.
  Clicked create again.
  ***  Expected to be allowed to create a partition next.
  Then gparted and all related windows closed.
  Reloaded, nothing changed to drive.
