Title:
gparted says that kernel is unable to re-read the partitiontables on
  /dev/md devices

Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

I configured my system with software raid 1 so the partitions of my harddisks are "Linux raid autodetect" that correspond to /dev/md metadevices in Linux (Ubuntu Hardy).
When I try to launch GParted a pop-up window is showed:
"The kernel is unable to re-read the partitiontables on the following devices:
  - /dev/md0
  - /dev/md1
  ......................."

I think this is ok as /dev/md[0-9] are metadevices not true devices. The fact is that once you enter in gparted from the drop-down device list menu also the metadevices are showed.
  I think:
  - the message is misleading
  - in the drop-down list only the true devices should be listed (not metadevices).

  Tested with Gparted 0.3.5.
