Title:
gparted should use SI prefix instead of IEC prefix as default

Status in Gnome Partition Editor:
  New
Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

Most GNOME applications use SI prefixes. gparted uses IEC prefixes
instead. It should use SI prefix instead to comply with the units
policy [1], because it has no option for selecting the preferred
  prefix.
