I'd recommend to move all the files in /var/lib/apt/lists/ out of the
way and try again.

E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/in.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_restricted_i18n_Translation-en
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
i tried the following command to remove also "sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/in.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_restricted_i18n_Translation-en"
and then "sudo apt-get update" but again the same error comes.
i am not able to get any update or software.
please help.
