Title:
Mogrify disrespects compression mode of tif files

Status in “imagemagick” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have a batch of .tif files with jpeg compression which I want to
scale down to 50 %. I do "mogrify -scale 50% *.tif" and get files
scaled down to the correct size but compression is switched off for
all of them. I know that there is an option for compression type but I
think if no option is given the compression mode of the original file
should stay the way it was before.
