[Bug 942365] [NEW] 11.10 crashed during install

Public bug reported:

I'm trying to install 11.10 over 10.04. I don't know why it crashed but
it's letting me do this bug report. The files that you require to read I
believe the installer sent them just before it gave me access to the
internet to finish the report. I have no access to the file system at
present and have no idea how this is actually working right now.
