I've upgraded to precise today (from oneiric) via do-release-upgrade -d.
The bug also affected my system; the fix in #11 helped.

The hardware is Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU  230   @ 1.60GHz, nVidia ION
chipset (prestigio ION PC)
