Title:
nfs mount fails and rpc.idmapd fails

Status in “libnfsidmap” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Problem description :

I was using nfs very well and updating periodically by doing "apt-get
update, apt-get upgrade, apt-get dist-upgrade", but after rebooted,
mounting nfs failed and after searching for reason, I found that
  executing "rpc.idmapd" has errors.

  Expected results:

Server should start normally? (not sure that I have never executed it
  before :/ )

  What I got:

  # rpc.idmapd -v
rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: using (default) domain: [***]
  rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: Realms list: '[***]'
  rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: processing 'Method' list
rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: Unable to get init function: /lib/libnfsidmap/umich_ldap.so: undefined symbol: libnfsidmap_plugin_init

rpc.idmapd: libnfsidmap: requested translation method, 'umich_ldap',
  is not available

rpc.idmapd: Unable to create name to user id mappings.

ps. Fedora had this problem, too according to here : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?format=multiple&id=692675 and seems to be fixed by the reporter?
ps2. In my opinion, I guess that "apt-get dist-upgrade" had just deleted the nfs's dependent libraries.
