[Bug 940785] [NEW] When I select Macbook pro keyboard I am getting an error

When I try to select the Macbook Pro Keyboard from layout -- > keyboard setting, I am getting the following error message .
 I am using ubuntu 10.04 . I have made it to update till date.

Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)
- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

The X.Org Foundation

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:

- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB is

XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "evdev", "pc105", "us", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "evdev", "pc105", "us", "", ""

- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
is

layouts = [us	mac,us]
 options = [altwin	altwin:ctrl_win,grp	grp:alts_toggle]
 model = macbook79


Note: This  error also, pops out everytime I turn on my Laoptop.
