Closing this report due to no progress or comments in more than 4 years,
plus I was unable to reproduce with a manual partition, automatic, or
resizing, along side another installed OS. If you feel this is still an
issue, please feel free to reopen this report with more information.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  Tried manual partitioning on installation. I have a SkyOS partition (type ec) on my hard drive (www.skyos.org) and didn't want to lose it.
  Probably caused by not recognising partition type.
