Exactly the same as in http://paste.ubuntu.com/606043/ happened, when I
was watching Youtube and adjusted screen brightness and volume by
pressing very quickly special buttons in keyboard (Fn+arrow keys).

uname -a:
2.6.32-38-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 4 11:13:04 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux

This complete system lock up and probably also data loss happens in
about every 50th–100th hour, roughly to say. So it is a weekly nuisance.

Title:
All buttons (including power) stop to work

Status in “acpid” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: acpid

There got about 2700 ACPI related rows into kernel log during 1 h 40
minutes: http://paste.ubuntu.com/606043/ . Then the keyboard stopped
to work: probably because I pushed accidentally many times (about
five) very quickly a right shift or Ctrl or €-key next to up and left
arrow keys. The €-key is not recognised by Ubuntu. This has happened
for years; time to report this. It happens when there is no battery
installed in the laptop. It also may be related to flash player, as it
  was running some www stuff.

The mouse still worked, so I logged out and then tried to restart.
Then the laptop jammed completely very near of the end of reboot: the
display turned white (instead of going off just before going to be
turned on again for POST/BIOS screen), HDD led stayed on and HDD
spinning, even the power button did not work. The only option was to
unplug from the wall. Then after replugging electricity the machine
  boots itself automatically.

  The lines
  May 11 11:17:56 dell-6 acpid: client connected from 3915[0:0]
  May 11 11:17:56 dell-6 acpid: 1 client rule loaded
in daemon.log was probably written, when the keyboard stopped to work. http://paste.ubuntu.com/606039/

Also in messages.log there is something:
  May 11 11:18:09 user3 pulseaudio[3955]: ratelimit.c: 2 events suppressed
  http://paste.ubuntu.com/606046/

  Also in syslog:
