Title:
BTRFS install left 700 permissions on /, system unusable.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  I installed to BTRFS, and ubiquity created 2 subvolumes "@" & "@home"
to mount the filesystems... this is GREAT, I am so pleased you did
this, but it left the permissions of "@" as 700, so when the system
started up, it could not do anything, no login box etc. Just booting
from USB and correcting the permissions made the system work as
  expected.
