Title:
bsdmainutils should use update-alternatives for hd symlink

Status in “bsdmainutils” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
bsdmainutils uses update-alternatives for its write and from
utilities, but uses a symbolic link (hd -> hexdump). It would be
better to use update-alternatives to manage this symbolic link.

I'm attaching a patch that would add the appropriate update-
alternatives command to debian/postinst. The patch also adds commands
to remove usr/bin/hd and rename the hd man page to bsd-hd (the update-
alternative command slaves bsd-hd.1.gz -> hd.1.gz if it is selected).
