This was quite a long time ago. I am writing this from the same ASUS
running pinguy 11.10 beta. I have installed quite a lot of ubuntu and
ubuntu derivates in the last few years, and quite often the install
crashes/stalls at the end of the install process or on the subsequent
reboot.
I never have failed totally with an ubuntu install though.
Sorry for this rather vague description. I will keep a whatchful eye on
my next attempt and report back the next time it happens.
I suiggest that this bug is deleted for the time being
Best regards from Oslo
