You attached the installer's desktop launcher file, which is no use to
me, I'm afraid.  I need the file /var/log/syslog after the installer
crashes.

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  1) Xubuntu 11.04
  2) Unable to locate package pkgname
  3) Xubuntu to reinstall
  4) Installer crashed and showed me a message called "Installer crashed" and pointed me to this page. The current status of the installer on the other window's bottom was showing "Checking for packages to remove..."
