Sounds like something for the X people to have a look at; we had a new
version of the X.org stack landed in that timeframe.

** Package changed: ubiquity (Ubuntu) => xorg (Ubuntu)

Title:
When installing Precise under Hyper-V, no mouse access.

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Sometime between the 120116 and 120210 daily builds of Precise, using
the hv_mouse driver within Ubiquity has stopped working. If I boot up
using the 120210 ISO, I have no mouse access, but the 120116 ISO has
working mouse access. Both of these are on the same Windows Server
  2008 R2 host.

apport-cli logs for the Ubiquity packages for both ISOs to follow.
