Title:
Oneiric "installer crashed" in beta1 when it starts to copy

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
was able to install alpha 3 without burning to CD installed on my HD
(using unetbootin) and using these commands:

  apt config error:
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/658865
  sudo rm /usr/lib/ubiquity/apt-setup/generators/40cdrom

  migration assistant error/crash:
  ubiquity --no-migration-assistant

  alpha 3 installed successfully.

now am trying to install the beta1, but it says that it cant unmount /cdrom

so i used the following command:

  sudo umount -l /cdrom

it doesnt nag anymore, but now it crashes when starts to copy....

if anyone can help i wish to also install this beta without burning to
cd or usb-stick or anything, just from my HD using unetbootin which is
easier and loads/copies faster, than those other methods.

  Thanks!
