Title:
  crash if /rofs/usr/local/man is a symlink but /target/usr/local/man is
  a directory

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  ausu P7P55D motherboard , i5-750cpu 
  did not format partition, let it delete a Slackware OS
  it wiped it and installed Mint 8 32bit , 1.7g of stuff before it spat
  It completed approx 85% of install and came up with the error popup, below.
  Apology, could not read your guidlines as I was not on the net, had to reboot back to Mint 7 to do this.
