[Bug 932506] [NEW] Update manager progress windows resize for long details

Public bug reported:

While updating using update manager or synaptic the progress window will
resize itself for long details, very quickly while downloading. Its
disorienting and unprofessional. Long details should be truncated when
they exceed the size of the window.
