I noticed this when attempting iso testing with Lucid-10.04.4
I have two internal drives, and the option was only to install to
/dev/sda, which isn't the one I wanted to use, since it's my main
working drive.
In my case, they are both SATA 2 ordinary drives.

Title:
Only one internal harddrive selectable during install
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I recently installed ubuntu 11.10.
In my computer I had two harddrives:
1. 60 GB SATA3 SSD with Windows 7
2. 1TB SATA2 ordinary harddrive empty
When I chose install alongside Windows, only option 2 was selectable
in dropdown menu, so I had to disconnect it and reboot to be able to
select option 1. Both were selectable in advanced option though so
it's that the computer didn't recognize the SSD disc the first time
around.
