  update-manager crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Started update manager to install todays updates.It told me not all
  updates could be installed some packages held back(compbiz and lib)
  and run a partial upgrade.While running the upgrade.I got an error
  message."can't guess meta packages" couldn't find unubtu-desktop.and
  to install it.I removed the ubuntu-desk top.ran the up date in the
  terminal,same packages held back ten I reinstalled ubuntu-
  desktop,rebooted,run update manager.I was told to run a partial
  upgrade.then update manager crashed
