Title:
update-manager crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Crashed my 12.04 laptop.
Update-manager has been prompting me to do a partial upgrade over the last 2 weeks (I know it can be a bad idea to do partial upgrades) but I tried to do it a just to see what it wanted to upgrade/remove but update-manager crashed and then my computer screen went black and I couldn't get it back so I had to power off my laptop. After I re-booted it I got the update-manager has crashed warning.
