Status in “software-properties” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Currently the third party tab just displays full URLs unless the
  sources.list entry has a #comment appended to it.

  Software Properties could be a bit smarter here.  PPAs, for instance,
  could be described using the same name they have on Launchpad.
