Title:
installing precise via usb-key boot crashes at choose your disk setup
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Wanting to do a fresh install of precise (alpha-2, Fri 3rd of Feb) on
an existing system, and rejig the existing layout.
At the 'Allocate disk space' screen, I chose the 'something else' option, as I had a bunch of partitions I wanted kept and some destroyed - mdadm mirrors mainly, which I'd manually reassemble post install.
Alas, at this choosing, the install app would crash and exit.
Was able to work around by installing 11.10, and doing a net upgrade.
I'll see if I can still repeat with that usb-key; and hence attach the
desired logs.
