Bug description:
  Binary package hint: dbus

  I was upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 10.04 in several steps: first 8.10 to 9.04: OK, then 9.04 to 9.10: error with 'dbus'.
  The upgrade process did not asked to reboot between the both steps, than I did no reboot... (Maybe it is the origin of the problem?).

  Just for information:
  The upgrades have been done both with CD/DVD + via internet for packages not found or not up-to-date on CD/DVD.
  The upgrade-process had given numerous other problems, I had to repair some packages / the state of the packages thank to dselect / aptitude, and I also must remove some packages giving compatibility-problem.
  Now all seem to run correctly under 9.10 (=> I'll try to upgrade to 10.04 - on DVD).
