Title:
update manager doesn't install ANY update if a single package fails to
  download

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Today a few updates appear in the list of available updates in Update Manager.
I click in "Install Updates", and I get this error message:

  Failed to download package files
  Check your Internet connection.
Details: Failed to fetch http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt/pool/main/f/firefox-mozilla-build/firefox-mozilla-build_10.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb Got a single header line over 360 chars

and the process stops here and it doesn't install ANY
  update!!!!!!!!!!!

If a single package fails to download, it should still download and
install all the available, unrelated ones that do not depend on that
  particular one.
