These actually may be hardware related as messages like the following
were found in this bug's logs and some of its duplicates:
Dec 7 21:52:40 ubuntu kernel: [ 1529.491510] EXT2-fs (loop1):

running e2fsck is recommended

Looks like a normal installation, but the installer crashes. I did not
choose the package ubiquity, it is already selected, dont know if it
is related to it.
