Here's a picture of my *Oneiric* laptop spelling "disk" incorrectly:

I have looked for "disc" in mountall sources, the compiled mountall
binary, and all mountall.mo files I have in my system, and didn't find
anything -- perhaps the bug comes from a different package? But it is
definitely not fixed.

Title:
Disk check message has inconsistent spelling: "disk" and "disc".

Status in “mountall” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
  mountall version: 2.15.3

During the routine disk check when booting the system, the message for
  the user begins:

"Your disk drives are being checked for errors, this may take some time
  Checking disc 1 of 1"

The first line uses "disk" but the second uses "disc". This is
inconsistent. One spelling should be used in both instances. I suggest
the "disk" spelling for both, since "disc" usually seems to refer to
  optical media.
