Title:
  Virtualbox 4.1.8.r75467 - installing precise-desktop-amd64.iso

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I downloaded precise-desktop-amd64.iso from Ubuntu on Monday 30th Jan
2012 to install into Virtualbox (version 4.1.8.r75467). I was in the
process of using it as a Live CD to install 12.04LTS so that I can
  test it out.

The problem began before I was trying to choose whether to use the
"Try Ubuntu" option or the "Install Ubuntu" option. I could not
choose either because the mouse cursor disappeared!

So I tried to do the same method but using Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS AMD64
iso (a very recent download within Jan 2012) and the mouse cursor can
  be seen.

It is very bizarre! How do I get around this? Do I need to do an
extra trick? Or is it simply the precise-desktop-amd64.iso image that
is causing the problem? I've tried to google online to see if
there was a workaround and there doesn't seem to be.

So thought I had better raise it as a bug because it looks like a bug.
