Marco, your issue is unrelated to this one and I suspect is simply that
you forgot to create a bios_grub partition.

  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub-installer

  Installer crashed

  I received a message that I report the bug to
  https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+firebug;
  however, that URL did not work.

  I encountered the following bug while installing Ubuntu on a new computer,
  which had never had an operating system previously installed.

  I had specifed 'gpt' as the disklabel.

  Asides: 
   - (When repeating the installation on an identical drive using the 'msdos' disk
      label the installer crash did not occur.)
   - (The partitioner recommended using the default value of 'msdos'. However, I
      am completely fed up with Microsoft, and while migrating to Linux, I really
      did not want to have my new system predicated on MS-DOS.  Also, I planned
      to have eight partitions and preferred to use a disklabel that natively
      supported more than four.)
   - (Thus far I have been unable to get rid of the 'gpt' disklabel that I created.)

  I had edited the partition table and mount points as follows:
