FFe: update-manager should have per-package changelog locations (was: uses changelogs.ubuntu.com for all packages)
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 253119
PPA packages do not show a changelog in update-manager

Title:
"Description of update" for PPA package links to non-existent page

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  Update Manager 0.93.34, Ubuntu 8.10

  1. Install a package from a PPA for something that is not available in Ubuntu at all.
  2. When a new version of the PPA package becomes available, open Update Manager.
  3. Select the PPA package in the list of updates.
  4. View the "Changes" tab of the "Description of update" section, if it is not visible already.
  5. Click the link following "Please use".

  What happens:
  4. The text says "The list of changes is not yet available. Please use http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/[something]/[something]/+changelog until the changes become available or try again later."
  5. The link produces an "Error: Page not found".

  What should happen:
  4. If the list of changes is *never* going to be available, Update Manager shouldn't pretend it will be.
  5. Update Manager should link to the correct page for the PPA package.
