Title:
after internet disconnection during an update, updating stopped
  working

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
This is the error it gives me:

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and
  include the following error message:

'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with
  MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/cz.archive.ubuntu
  .com_ubuntu_dists_precise-updates_main_binary-i386_Packages, E:The
package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

What seems to have happened that after my internet connection crashed during an update, some file got corrupt and update manager stopped working, when I run it, list of updates does not show up, it just always munches for a while and then gives me this error message. Not sure how this can be fixed, but since the message says report it as a bug, that's what I'm doing...

  (Acer Aspire One 722, AMD C60, 1.3 Ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM)
