Thank you for taking the time to improve Ubuntu and GParted by reporting
this problem.

As such, when Ubuntu upgrades to the most recent version of GParted
(currently 0.14.1), then this problem should be resolved.

Title:
  Desktop-file contains wrong category

Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Gparted's desktop file contains the following categories:
  "GNOME;System;Filesystem;Settings;"

The last one, settings, really doesn't make any sense in my opinion. Gparted doesn't belong in one category with e.g. screensaver-settings, users and groups or time-and-date. To illustrate where this creates problems: Xfce's settings-manager pulls in all desktop-files that are in the "settings-category", so Gparted appears there instead of the System-menu, where you'd expect it.
Therefore I'm proposing to drop that last category.
