We won't diverge from Debian for this, as the port number has been IANA
approved, I expect it to make its way to the netbase package in Debian
which will then get synced into Ubuntu.
** Changed in: netbase (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Won't Fix

Title:
Request to add Dropbox LanSync Protocol to /etc/services
Status in “netbase” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
A growing number [1] of Ubuntu users use Dropbox. Dropbox's LAN sync
feature requires incoming connections to be allowed on TCP port 17500
[2] and is officially registered with the IANA as db-lsp (Dropbox
LanSync Protocol) [3].
I'd like to request that this service be added to /etc/services, so
that users who enable UFW can grant an exception for Dropbox LAN sync
by a more human-friendly name:
sudo ufw allow db-lsp
