Title:
Installer did not detect secure boot properly
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I booted a usb live image with secure boot enabled, and performed the
installation while choosing the EFI partition for the bootloader. An
unsigned version of grub and kernel were installed, causing a security
error to be thrown when attempting to boot. Disabling secure boot
allowed me to access the installation, I then installed: grub-efi-
amd64-signed, linux-signed-generic, and shim-signed. After installing
these packages the system was able to boot ubuntu with secure boot
enabled.
