Public bug reported:

-Wouldn't reboot for several days; I tried everything
-I have official install disks; 11.04 12.10-neither one is fixing the problem
-cant open GParted even from live install command line
-I think 'dropbox' is partially installed; logging on brings up msg box:do you want to install dropbox correctly
-I cant find a way to delete any old kernels
-gui screen color is distorted
-clicking on 'Applications' in top left or the system icon in top right causes a little drop-down 'edit menus' to come up
-when this happens the main menu comes up but I cant edit it
-mouse isnt functioning correctly
-don't know that this is an 'update mngr' bug but ubuntu or my computer routed me here
-loading restore disk gives msg 'volume with updates detected' but when computer tries to download, error msg

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
