Agreed on this. the first couple of times I used this, I actually thought it had crashed silently, instead of completing successfully. It's really strangely designed UX.
Additionally, one time it just disappeared, and I assumed (from earlier experience) that it had completed successfully, until a bit later a crash report dialog popped up, and it turned out it had actually crashed!

Title:
  no finish dialog

Status in “usb-creator” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After successfully creating a USB startup disk the app simply closes
  without a success message.

I would expect a popup stating that everything completed successfully.
