[Bug 1086459] [NEW] VPN DNS Resolution Fails

Public bug reported:

After the resolveconf overhaul in Ubuntu 12.04, DNS resolution no longer
works for VPN connections. Network Manager is able to connect to the
VPN, but no domain names resolve.

Please let me know what is needed to make this bug report more helpful.
