[Bug 1086202] [NEW] gparted crashes reading failed gpt partioning of disk w ligparted error

Public bug reported:

using 3." sata drive in usb drive toaster gparted crashes w liparted error warnings about damaged gtp table , i say yes use backup table , another error  launches w  retry , ignore cancel . Cancel and  ignore generate libparted errors. 3 drives being checked out post motherboard /power supply failure trying to find out if they are ok. possible problem w disk toaster this is 3 tb disk.  Gnome-disks doesn't crash and reports 800 gb for seagate model  ST3000DM 001-1CH166 (0100).
gnome-disks bench marking fails gracefully when trying to benchmark w seek error.
creates and formats partition within visible portion of 800 gb.
