I'm getting the same thing. It's an older PC and the battery might be
dead.

Bug description:
  While running the ubuntu installer in a virtual machine the installer freezes while saying "Stopping mount network filesystems"
  the gui had not yet loaded.

  This affects ubuntu and lubuntu at least
