As the error messages says, there is a syntax error line 51 in file  /etc/apt/sources.list 
Could you please attach it ?

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  There's a red icon in my upper right task bar region that looks like
  an international stop sign.  When I click on it, it says to file a bug
  report against the update manager with this line following:
  'E:Malformed line 51 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist
  parse)'
