[Bug 1042225] [NEW] Screen turns off after grub (full disk encryption)

Public bug reported:

The screen turns off after booting Ubuntu.
Pressing escape once turns the screen back on and shows a command link LUKS password prompt.
Pressing escape again shows the graphical boot screen without any issues.

May be a duplicate of  bug #1030094
